Our Faculty of Pharmacy Students Graduated at our Online Graduation Ceremony.
Bezmiâlem Vakıf University, Faculty of Pharmacy, bid farewell to its 2019-2020 academic year graduates.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in our country and all over the world, our Faculty of Pharmacy Graduation Ceremony was held online. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, Assistant Rector Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Tuncay, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı Topçu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Fatemeh Bahadori, academicians and managers joined the ceremony from our university senate room and through the online platform.
At our Graduation Ceremony, our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu addressed our graduates and delivered an opening speech. Our Rector stated, "You are taking your first step towards your Pharmaceutics profession, which you anticipated with great excitement by completing your university education process with many efforts and dedication. Today is the first day of the rest of your life beginning as strong individuals with the contribution of the education you have received at Bezmiâlem Vakıf University. As a result of all your efforts, you are entitled to receive your graduation certificates. It is my greatest wish that you, as a soldier of health, will always proceed happily on this blessed road. I believe that you will be a community volunteer in not only offering medicine and healing to your patients, but also beyond that, shedding light on their society with tolerance and patience. "
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu stated, "Now, as Bezmiâlem graduates, you are the representatives of our foundation culture. I believe that you will represent us in the best way in your institutions and environments. I hope that the education you received here, the teachings and exemplary of our valuable academics and the close communication that our administrators have established with you will guide you both in your social life and in your professional life. "
Following our Rector Prof. Dr. Rümeyza Kazancıoğlu, our Assistant Rector Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Tuncay carried out an opening speech. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Tuncay; "I sincerely congratulate my new pharmacist colleagues. I say colleague because I, as a physician, see pharmacists as our colleagues. I would like to welcome you all to the 2019-2020 online graduation ceremony of Bezmiâlem Vakıf University Faculty of Pharmacy. Classic graduation ceremonies have always been held until today. Maybe you are upset that our ceremony does not take place in our garden ... But you will see when time passes, maybe 10 years later , you will say ; "We made the first of these online ceremonies through a difficult COVID-19 period". One last note that I would like to express; collaborations regarding two subjects are unforgettable. Especially the memoirs of us mens military service are unforgettable. Also, friendships established during university years. Memories and shared experiences are unforgettable. I congratulate each and every one of you and wish you success. "
Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı Topçu also addressed our graduates. Topçu stated; "Today, we are proud and honored to send off our 5th graduates of our faculty. It is the day when you leave tbeing a student and step into pharmaceutics. This is the day you receive the payback of your 5-6 years of work, your labor and your sacrifice. As you know, you are proud and honored to graduate by taking modern pharmacy education of our era under the historical roof of the Gureba-i Muslimin Hospital, which was established in 1845. In order to train you well, we have closely followed the developments in our country and the world, and have kept our information up-to-date." Prof. Dr. Gülaçtı Topçu continues; "Dear dear graduates, we have shared many memories in these five years. I wish that you maintain your pristine, student year friendships for a lifetime. I wish you all success in life. "
At the Faculty of Pharmacy Graduation Ceremony that took place online, the programme ended after the names of our 2019-2020 academic year graduates were read out and representational graduation caps were thrown.
